Brian Gallant
CEO, Space Canada
He is a business executive, thought leader, and he was the 33rd Premier of New Brunswick. Brian is a Special Advisor to the President of Ontario Tech University. He also frequently provides business and political analysis as a media commentator.  
In addition to serving as Premier of New Brunswick, Brian was the Attorney General, the Minister responsible for Innovation, and the Minister responsible for Women’s Equality. In 2018, he led his Premier colleagues as the Chair of the Council of the Federation. Prior to elected office, Brian practiced corporate commercial law. He has university degrees in business and law from the Université de Moncton as well as a Master of Laws from McGill University.  Brian is the co-author of a major research report linking profit with purpose entitled Canadian Voices on the Role of Business in Society. Brian is supportive of many causes and initiatives as a member of several boards of directors including the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, the Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame, the Canadian Olympic Foundation, and the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre.

As a chemical engineer by training, JABG aims to use the transformational power of nanotechnology to improve the processing and the performance of energy conversion materials for additive manufacturing and aerospace applications. With a deep understanding of the fundamental properties of materials and their atomic structure, he has managed to create modified versions of multiple metal-oxides that can be crystallized under visible light. His unique and innovative approach to printing flexible electronics and advanced materials is set to redefine the standards of energy storage, energy conversion and aerospace technology.

Chloé Bois,
General Manager and Principal Investigator, ICI

Chloé Bois specializes in printed electronics and the commercialization of innovation. She obtained her PhD in Process Engineering from the University of Grenoble in 2012, followed by a research grant offered by the Japanese government (JSPS) for a PostDoctorate in the field of organic electronics for biomedical applications at the University of Tokyo. She also holds a Master's degree in Graphic Communications and a Research Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering.

Ta-Ya Chu, Dr
Officer and Scientist,
National Research Council Canada

Dr. Chu has been working as a Research Officer/Scientist at National Research Council Canada since 2008. He has more than twenty years of experience in the field of organic electronics, such as OLED, OPV, OTFT and printable electronics. He has contributed more than sixty publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings which have been cited more than 3,300 times. Dr. Chu is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at University of Toronto. He is Canada Chair of the IEC/TC-119 Printed Electronics Mirror Committee and the IEEE EDS Nanotechnology Technical Committee member.

Olivier Ferrand
R&D Engineer

Olivier Ferrand is an R&D Engineer at E2IP TECHNOLOGIES, where he continues to drive innovation in printed electronics. Olivier has been a catalyst for numerous successful technologies such as Capflex ™, Lumifilm ™ and others in the field of sensors and HMI. He is also one of the leading engineers in the development of Smart Structural SurfacesTM, which is considered one of the company’s most promising future technologies. Olivier graduated in 2006, as a Material Engineer at INSA de Lyon (France). Prior to working for E2IP, Olivier held various roles in the semiconductor industry, such as Test Engineer and Materials Engineer at Intel. He also worked as a Production Engineer in the automotive industry (Hirschmann Car), a role that provided him with an extensive knowledge of high-volume, controlled, and automated production systems. Over his 15-year tenure at the company, Olivier has gained extensive knowledge in screen printing, elevating the technology to new heights. This once old-fashioned and low-cost technique can now produce high-end, high-performance circuitry. Olivier has also developed a knack for problem-solving and a deep understanding of physics through rigorous testing, analysis, and data measurement. The only mystery he has yet to unravel is the meaning behind the letters in E2IP.

Lead Applications Engineer
Printed Electronics, North America

Application Engineer at Henkel, she is specialized in materials and conductive inks for the manufacturing of emerging printed electronics products. Over the past few years, she has focused her activities in advanced manufacturing for the very fine line screen printing process and its applications to RF and heating technologies. Before Printed Electronics industry, she has worked as Electronics engineer on Earth Observation Science and Telecommunication satellites. She has a PhD in Electronics (Failure Analysis of Digital Integrated Circuits, 2008) from CNES, Toulouse, France and an Engineering Degree in Physics (2005) from INSA Toulouse, France.

Luis Felipe Gerlein
M.Sc., Ph.D., Electrical Engineer and CEO, INKTIO

As an electrical engineer by training, LFG has focused his research in developing additive manufacturing routes for synthesis, assembly and characterization of multi-material architectures for state-of the art optoelectronic applications and hybrid printed electronics. He has extensive experience in inkjet and screen printing of functional materials such as ceramic, metallic, molecular, carbon-based and polymeric inks. His expertise also covers intense pulsed light sintering of nanomaterials and metal-oxides. Currently, his work as a CEO of INKTIO focuses on understanding the current industrial trends and needs for development of printed applications with functional materials.

Arthur D. Hendsbee
Product Manager

Dr. Arthur D Hendsbee is an organic materials scientist who graduated from the University of Calgary with a PhD in Chemistry in 2017, obtained under the supervision of Dr. Greg Welch. During his time at the University of Calgary, he developed a new class of non-fullerene acceptors with utility in optoelectronic devices and was awarded a United States Patent (9865819) for this work. Following his PhD, in 2019 Arthur completed an NSERC funded postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Yuning Li at the University of Waterloo where he studied organic optoelectronic device fabrication techniques. In September of 2019, Arthur was impressed by the vision of Brilliant Matters to provide industry with a reliable and scalable source of organic optoelectronic materials and joined as a Senior Scientist. Currently, he holds the role of Product Manager at Brilliant Matters.

Chris Jones,
Chief Operating Officer

Chris Jones – COO has over thirty years practical print and packaging experience within the inks and coatings industry across the UK, Central Europe and South America. He has been involved with printing electronics since 2000; initially developing early conductive flexographic ink systems with UK ink manufacturer Intercolor before joining Novalia in 2010 as the ink and print expert. At Novalia he leads R&D activities on conductive and functional inks, print production and process developments; working closely with materials and production suppliers to develop consistent, repeatable manufacture processes working with scientists from industry and academia. Conveniently being base in Cambridge UK, he is an Industrial Visitor at the University of Cambridge Graphene Centre; lecturing in functional inks and print processes & has authored numerous papers and books on graphene/printable electronics.

Alexis Laforgue, Ph.D., 
Senior Research Officer

Alexis Laforgue is a Senior Research Officer of the National Research Council of Canada (Materials for Energy Technologies team, based in Boucherville, Québec). A polymer chemist by training, he has been working in the field of batteries and energy storage for almost 30 years. During his career at NRC, he has led projects on multiple battery technologies with a special focus on technology scale-up from laboratory proof-of-concept to pilot-scale demonstration.

Eric Landry is the Director of Sales at Anton Paar Canada, bringing over a decade of experience in the scientific research and innovation field. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry with a specialization in Biotechnology and a Master's degree in Applied Science with a focus on Polymer Chemistry. Prior to his current role, Eric excelled as an Application Specialist and Director of Sales in a contract research organization, where he developed a deep expertise in polymer applications and analytical technologies. He was also an active member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the NSERC Green Electronics Network from 2020-2023. His strong background in science and sales enables him to drive growth and foster lasting relationships with clients, positioning Anton Paar Canada as a leader in precision measurement solutions.

Mario Leclerc Ph.D.
Professor and holder of the Canada Research Chair in Electroactive and Photoactive Polymers

Mario Leclerc obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Université Laval, Québec, Canada in 1987. After a short stay at INRS-Énergie et Matériaux, he joined the Max-Planck-Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany, in 1988, as a postdoctoral fellow in the research group of Prof. Dr. G. Wegner. In 1989, he accepted a position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Université de Montréal. In 1998 he was promoted to Full Professor. In the same year, he joined the CERSIM at Université Laval in Quebec City. He currently holds a Canada Research Chair in electroactive and photoactive polymers. He has authored or co-authored over 300 publications and 16 book chapters. He also holds 12 patents.

James is the Director, Innovation Solutions Group with Jones Healthcare Group based in London, Ontario, Canada, a leader in folding cartons, labels and contract pharmaceutical filling. In his role, James focuses on new packaging technologies for tomorrow and their potential impact and outcomes for consumers, patients and brand owners. James has over 25 years of experience in prepress and print production with organizations such as TC and SGSCO. With successful project execution under a varying set of global verticals throughout his career, James brings a diverse understanding of the packaging market with an eye for reproduction quality under differing print methods. James also serves as technical chair of the International Packaging Group based in Switzerland, which shares best practices and technical innovations amongst its membership.

Ms. Marsan-Loyer joined C2MI for the first time as an intern in 2013. She completed a research master's degree in engineering, before being hired in 2016 as an advanced packaging professional. In her position, she coordinates enabling technology, eco-design and infrastructure improvement projects.

Global Technology Manager – Electronic Materials

Erika Rebrosova has 20+ years of experience in the electronic materials, functional printing, and electronics applications. She received her PhD degree at Western Michigan University, where she also worked as a Research Faculty specializing in printed electronics. She has expertise in material science, polymer physics, ink and coating formulation, printing technologies and application development. Erika has been with Sun Chemical Corp. for 12 years, currently holding a position of Global R&D Manager for Electronic Materials division. She is responsible for leading new product development, application development and support. She is involved in the printed electronics community through participation in various workgroups and events, industry standard development, lecturing for masterclasses and training courses to support technology awareness and workforce development in the field of printed electronics and functional materials.

Alireza Saidi
Researcher Department of Research – Prevention of mechanical and physical risks

Alireza Saidi is a researcher at the Robert-Sauvé Research Institute in Occupational Health and Safety (IRSST), Montréal, Québec. His research at IRSST focuses on the development of smart personal protective equipment using smart textiles, flexible electronics and advanced materials. Before joining IRSST, he worked for several years as a project manager in industrial research and development groups in fields such as technical textiles, smart textiles and flexible and stretchable electronics. He is the author and co-author of several scientific publications.

Printed Electronics and Advance Packaging Process Development Engineer

Christophe Sansregret is working at the Micro Innovation Collaboration Center (C2Mi) in process development in printed electronics and advanced packaging. He focuses on flexible and printed electronics production through additive manufacturing. He is currently developing processes for the integration of surface mounted electronic components on flexible substrates using copper inks in collaboration mainly with the École des Technologies Supérieurs (ÉTS).

Natasha Shoghi, PhD, is the QA & QC Director at Raymor Industries, focusing on the characterization, quality control, and quality assurance of the company's products.
